Ballarat Seafoods has been providing the freshest, Australian-sourced (where possible) seafood to Ballarat residents and restaurants for well over 20 years. We also have an extensive range of frozen seafood and Award-winning pies and pastries (some of our favorites include our Seafood and Scallop Pie and our Prawn & Ginger Dumplings) – these are available for sampling.
With a range of high-quality suppliers from around Australia, we are able to supply top quality products and can also order any particular products you may need that we don’t normally carry (sea urchin etc). In recent times, we have expanded our range of whole fish (Snapper, Red Emperor, Trout, Bream etc).
Our suppliers all practice sustainable sourcing for their product and we collect fresh seafood numerous times every week direct from the markets in Melbourne or the fishermen themselves. For example, our crayfish are shipped direct off the boat in South Australia and arrive in our shop within 12 hours of being caught.
Our quality focus is one of the reasons we are the preferred supplier to many of the region’s top restaurants and catering businesses. They have come to rely on our service, quality and ability to supply a wide range of produce for their particular needs. We also supply a number of local supermarkets with our fresh seafood as they have found that our product is fresher than what is available through other suppliers.
We also have a range of very high quality imported and local delicatessen products with our range including Bomba Rice from Spain, Tetsuya brand condiments, top quality anchovies from Spain and Italy amongst our expanding range.
